Once again I’m late to the game but I’ll still tell you my opinion about the Beauty Blender All That Glitters set, haha! I got it on Black Friday and if I’m not mistaken it was 38 euro. It’s a pretty good price considering that if you buy them separately in the Netherlands they’ll cost more than 55 euro. The last few years I buy my Beauty Blender sponges every Black Friday, when the price their really good! So let’s start with the review!
The Beauty Blender All That Glitters set contains 2 full size sponges, a protective container for your sponges and a sample size soap to clean them. I was thinking to buy a container for my sponges for a while because I noticed that I need it when I’m travelling. So this set was perfect for me. I don’t have anything more to say about the sponges, we all know them and love them. I’ve talked in the past about them both here and on my channel. But the fact that I buy them religiously for the past 4 years speaks for me. I’ve tried a few other sponges in the past but I always went back to Beauty Blender. I love it’s density, how well it applies the products on the face and basically everything else about it!
About the Solid Blendercleanser, I use it for years now and I think it’s a great product. If you want to see how I clean my brushes & sponges I did a video about it on my channel. I have the pro size and I love it. Lately I prefer to wet the sponges with the Mac brush cleanser and leave them in a jar with hot water for a while. After that I squeeze them to take out the excess of water and clean them thoroughly with the Solid Blendercleanser pro.
Now moving on to the Glitter Blenderdefender! This little guy is my best friend when travelling! I noticed that I missed a protective container for the sponges that it’s breathable. In the past most of the times I though them with the rest of the makeup or with the brushes. But if you ever traveled with a wet sponge you know what I’m about to say! After a long trip, especially if it’s very hot, it might smell due to long hours inside some plastic bag. I thought to through it on my handbag but still I wanted a case to put it in.
So when Beauty Blender came out with the Blenderdefender I knew I wanted it. That’s why this set was so perfect for me. The original Blenderdefender is black and hot pink. But this one is white and glittery, so fab! I wasn’t sure about the glitter at first but now I adore it. It holds up to two wet sponges inside and because it has holes in it, it lets the sponges dry without ended up with weird smell or unnecessary extra bacteria! It’s squeezy so it doesn’t take up much space when it’s empty. Personally though, when travelling, I like to keep the sponges inside even when they are dry. In general I find it very useful for trips and I would buy it even without the set.
