Last week I did a review on the Castaner Carina espadrilles that I recently purchased and today I came back with a how to style post. Espadrilles is a great pair of shoes for summer time and you can choose from a flat one to a high heeled one and all the in between. Personally I chose a middle heel, went for the 6cm, and I think it was the best decision. The heel height is ideal to walk in and it gives the much needed extra points, haha!
So here are 4 ways on how to style your espadrilles this summer!
- (Faux ) leather shorts
I love mixing different fabrics on an outfit and leather shorts look amazing with espadrilles in my opinion. It’s the perfect outfit to wear in the city. For this look I combined it with a floral crop top, a white bag and rose gold accessories. I don’t advise you though to wear this outfit when it’s really hot outside. The leather shorts are a bit hot to wear above 30ºC!
- Floral dress
Is truly a better combination than a floral dress with espadrilles? These two together are a match made in heaven. The playful pattern of the dress in combination with the romantic style of the espadrilles make the most beautiful combination. I actually adore the combo dress + espadrilles no matter the length or pattern of the dress! Of course it depends also on the occasion and the style and fabric of the dress. But in general summer dress are most likely perfect to wear with espadrilles. For this look I went for my beloved floral dress from Zara, a white bag, rose gold accessories and a straw hat.
- Denim skirt
Another piece of clothing that looks perfect with espadrilles is the denim skirt. For a dreamier look you can combine it with romantic top. That’s what I did for this look and I went for this lovely light blue top with chiffon sleeves. These light blue puff sleeves give me major Cinderella vibes! Again I picked the white bag for this look but opted for silver accessories.
- White jeans
You can never go wrong with white jeans in summer! If you are not a fan of shorts and skirts then a pair of white jeans is all you need. You can dress it up or down with the right accessories and it can be worn from day to night. When I put together this look the first think I though of was how cool it will look on an island! The straw hat in combination with the espadrilles and the neckerchief on the bag give a major vacation vibe! Or it’s just me who is desperate to go on vacation, haha!
Espadrilles are a staple in every summer wardrobe in my opinion. You can wear them from work, to strolling around the city, to enjoy a walk on the island or even to the beach. And speaking of the beach, how cool it would look a pair of espadrilles with a flowy long beachwear dress! Although I wouldn’t wear heeled ones on the sand I would definitely go for a little height on the beach bar or the pool!
