One of my favourite things to wear in winter are berets. They keep you warm and they are super stylish. Throughout the years I got myself a few berets in different colours and today I’ll show you how I like to style them. Up until now I have berets in 6 colours although I have my eyes in a few more! I wanted to show you different ways to style them, from romantic to edgy looks and all in between!
Minimal look
For the minimal I chose the cream colour beret. I combined it with a pair of black jeans and a cream sweater. My go to choice for a minimal look is a classic black and white (or cream in this situation!) combo! So I also chose a black pair of boots and a black coat. Regarding the accessories I went for gold small hoop earrings and a black watch.
Feminine look
For the feminine look I chose the beige beret. I find this colour very elegant and it’s probably my most worn beret. I combined it with a polka dot top and a pair of red pants. The top gives a romantic touch to it and I personally like the contrast with the bold pants. To finish the look I chose a pair of taupe boots and a camel coat. As for the accessories I couldn’t resist to a pearl choker and a gold mesh watch.
Trendy look
One of the pieces of clothing that you can literally find everywhere are cardigans! I used to not like cardigans very much but after I saw this one from AndOtherStories something changed inside me! First of all they are the most perfect piece of clothing for layering therefore your best friend in winter! And secondly they go with everything! I did a video on how to style cardigans if you want an outfit inspiration. Back to this look and as you can see I chose the pink beret for it. I combined it with a cardigan, faux leather shorts and tights. Tights are another favourite accessory of mine for winter! I used to have them in every colour possible when I was younger but nowadays I’m more fan of cream, nude and black ones and a huge fan of patterns! Cream ankle boots and gold accessories completed this look.
Edgy look
Although I was puzzled as to which colour pair with each look I was sure for the beginning that I want red for the edgy look. I wanted the beret to be the star of this look so I went for grey/black shades. A patterned cardigan and a checkered skirt combined with black tights, black sneakers and black coat was my choice. For this one I went for silver accessories.
Casual look
For the casual look I chose the light blue beret. This one is the newest in my collection and I was looking for this colour for a year now. It looks perfect with camel/beige/cream shades and I can’t get enough of it. I usually buy my berets for vintage stores but this one I got it from a local store that sell hats. It was a bit more expensive than I normally go for but it’s definitely worth it! So for this look I went for yet again another cardigan but this time in a mint colour. A pair of jeans, a pair of white sneakers and a camel coat completed the look. For accessories on this one I played with gold colour again. Mint and gold look so beautiful together!
Romantic look
Black is not your typical colour for a romantic look but I didn’t want to go with the typical choice. For me at least, the most classic colour for a romantic outfit is pink. I don’t even mind a total pink look! It’s my favourite colour after all! But not many people are fans of a too pink outfit so I wanted to incorporate pink in the outfit in a more subtle way. A cashmere turtleneck combined with a tweed skirt and a pair of over the knee boots I think is a pretty romantic look. A pink faux fur and gold accessories completed the look!
