Valentine’s day is just around the corner and although I love chocolates, flowers and all these stuff I believe that a practical, yet beautiful gift is the best option. And what’s more practical that a phone case or any other accessory for your phone? The next question to ask yourself is which brand to choose. Your smartphone is probably the item that you always have with you no matter where you are, so you better protect it! Trust me, I learned that lesson the hard way, haha! 4 years ago I’ve decided to purchase my first phone in the Netherlands with a contract with device. When the sales person asked me if I wanted insurance I said no because I use a mobile phone from the age of 14 and all these year I never broke any of them. So a week after I got my phone, still haven’t purchase any phone case, I was out and about when my phone slipped through my hands and fell on the ground! As the well known drama queen that I am I started immediately crying without even picking up the phone, haha! I was so afraid that I broke it. And indeed it broke! The back of the phone was glass and the top part broke but luckily without any problems on the camera or the screen.
On that moment I swore that I will never again use a phone without a phone case and now I purchase the phone cases before I even buy the phone, haha! What I love the most about the Ideal of Sweden phone cases is the quality. They are hard and they look luxurious.
They come in different colours and textures and one of my favourites is the gold and black from the collaboration with Negin Mirsalehi. I also have it in total black and is the one that I currently use. I like to change my phone cases to much my outfits if I have somewhere fancy to go but on the day to day basis I have a 2-3 favourite ones that I use. Before the total black I had a pink one with a rose (see photo below) that I adored but I used it so much that I managed to break it a little bit on the corner after so many times that my phone fell!

Power banks
We never go to a trip without a power bank and Ideal of Sweden has some very lovely ones. They are so beautiful and their capacity is enough to charge a phone 1 or 2 times, depending on the phone model. Mine is called Carrara Gold and its white with gold marble effect. On long trips that I know we’ll be on the road a lot, like the one we went to Italy I had with me a huge (and quite heavy!) power bank because we were 4 people. But on shorter trips, like if I want to spend a whole day in Amsterdam or something then I carry with me the Ideal of Sweden one. It’s lighter than my phone and it can fit in most of my bags.
QI charger
A QI wireless charger is great to keep in your desk or makeup vanity especially if it’s that fancy looking! I have the “Golden Plum” design and it has lovely plum tones with gold accents. It supports up to 10W so it is not fast charge. I think though that in places like your office desk where you spend many hours it would be awesome to have.
Clutch and bags
One can never have too many bags or shoes am I right? I have two clutches from Ideal of Sweden, one is the Saffiano Mayfair and the other the Kensington, that is pictured here. I have both of them in black and although they are quite similar I prefer the Kensington one. First the similarities. On the inside they are exactly the same looking with the card holder place and the magnetic phone case that you can easily take out. On the inside they both have a lining that protects your phone.
Now on to the differences. The Mayfair has a discreet magnetic button clasp that’s extremely easy to use and the Kensington closes more like a clutch. Also the Kensington has a long gold chain that makes it perfect when you want a sleek accessory to finish your look but don’t need a whole bag. I love it for night outs (if someone else can keep your keys!) or if you travel and you have a key card!
