Dior was the first luxury makeup brand I bought when I was started wearing makeup a lot. I was obsessed with their Iconic Diorshow mascara and it’s still one of my favourites. It’s one of the brands that has a very special place in my heart. Recently I was looking for a new blush. Don’t get me wrong I love my Nars Orgasm blush to bits but I wanted a more pink shade one. So when I saw the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow blush I was intrigued to buy it. I did my research and the review were fantastic. Spoiler alert it is as good as they say it is! Let’s dive in to more details below.
Colour & texture
The Dior Backstage Rosy Glow blush comes in two shades, pink and coral and they are both stunning. The colours look brighter and more vibrant on the pan that they appear on the cheeks. I bought the pink colour that it has a cotton candy pink cool shade. You can built the colour from a slight rosy look for the days you want to achieve the no-makeup makeup to full on pink cheeks!
What I like the most about it, is that it transforms after a while. It reacts with the moisture and the temperature of the skin and gives a customized rosy effect. Its texture is thin and soft with a satin finish. It feels silky in between the fingers and it’s not powdery at all.
Application & duration
The Dior Backstage Rosy Glow blush applies beautifully and evenly on the skin and stays there for at least 8 hours. It is opaque and you can built it from as natural to as heavy you want to.
I used it both on the cheeks as blush and on the eyes as an eyeshadow. As an eyeshadow I wore it on the lids alone but also topped it with a shimmer light pink or beige on top to make it more shimmery. I really love it on the cheeks but I enjoy it also on the eyes. If you buy it you should definitely try it on the eyes also.
Packaging & price
It comes in a plastic packaging that feels heavy and it’s compact. In the front it has Dior written with silver raised letters on a pink background and silver details. Inside it has a mirror.
I bought it from Hondos Center, a cosmetics store in Greece. Actually, my mum bought it from the physical store as it was sold out online. It was on sales and if I’m not mistaken it cost me 28-29 euro down from 40 euro.
On the photos I went for a natural makeup look as this is my go to for my everyday activities. As you can tell it gives a healthy and fresh looking result which I adore! Overall I really like it and to be honest with you between this and the Nars Orgasm I don’t feel the need to have any other blush in my collection. I will definitely continue to buy it as it’s one of the best blushes I’ve ever tried in my life. So if you are on the edge to buy it then definitely go for it and you can thank me later!
